Atanelishvili (Ataneli) Vladimer (Lado) (born on 12.09.1964, Samreklo Village, nowadays Dedoplistskaro municipality) is a singer and winner of Francisco Viñas International Singing Contest (1991, Barcelona, First Prize, and Grand Prize), won the first prize in international competitions of Belvedere (Vienna, Austria, 1996) and Cologne (Germany). He is a winner of the Shota Rustaveli Prize (2011).

In 1989 he graduated from V. Sarajishvili Tbilisi State Conservatoire (class of J. Lortkipanidze). While being a student, he performed the parts of Aleko (Aleko by S. Rachmaninoff), Fiorello (The Barber of Seville by G. Rossini), Belcore (The Elixir of Love by Gaetano Donizetti), Germont (La Traviata by G. Verdi) at Conservatoire opera stage. From 1988 he was an intern at the Georgian National Opera and Ballet Theater of Tbilisi and from 1989 he became a soloist. His debut part was of Renato (in A Masked Ball by G. Verdi). On the stage of this theater, he successfully performed parts of Germont and Monstano (G. Verdi’s La Traviata and Otello respectively), Figaro (The Barber of Seville by G. Rossini), Murman (Abesalom da Eteri by Z. Paliashvili) (consultant -prof. N. Andghuladze). His repertoire consists of other parts from the works of Verdi and other Italian composers, as well as P. Tchaikovsky, S. Prokofiev, S. Rachmaninoff, F. Schubert, R. Schumann, J. Brahms, M. Ravel, and chamber and lyrical works of modern Georgian composers. Since 1996, he has performed in Europe and the US (La Scala, Vienna State Opera, The Grand Opera, Metropolitan Opera, etc.) and worked with world-renowned musicians (P. Domingo, G. Lavaini, R. Muti, S. Odzava, C. Tilemani, etc.).

He received Writers’ House of Georgia award Siketis Raindi (Knight of Good) in 2011.
