Andrea Borromeo (born in Milan, – died in 1683) was a missionary monk of the Order of the Theatines. In 1652, he arrived in Samegrelo from Italy. In 1658, on June 8, he sent a letter to Rome about his missionary activities. The letter contains information about the ruler of Samegrelo, Levan III Dadiani, the king of Imereti, Alexander III, and Vamek III Dadiani. After Borromeo's death, in 1704, his book "Report on Georgia, Samegrelo, and the Theatine Missions in the Region" was published in Rome.
