Dionigi de Carli da Piacenza was a 17th-century Italian missionary, member of the Capuchin Order.
Dionigio Carli arrived in Tbilisi in 1681 and stayed for 6 months. He then served as abbot of the Catholic Hospital in Gori. His report (published in 1687) is a valuable source for studying the socio-political life of Kartli and Kakheti in the last quarter of the 17th century. It describes the life in Tbilisi and of Georgians in general, as well as the relations between Eastern Georgia and Iran.
