Duri Efendi (Dürri Efendi or Dorrī Afandī) was an 18th-century Ottoman civil servant.
He is the author of a Persian-language work titled “The History of the Journey to Afghanistan and the Safavid State” (1731) which was published later in the 1730s by Ibrahim Muteferrika. This text is considered as an important source for the history of Iran, the Ottoman Empire, and Georgia during the second quarter of the 18th century.
The work contains detailed accounts about Georgian figures active in Iran during this period, such as Giorgi XI, Kaikhosro Batonishvili, and others. It also includes noteworthy references to King Vakhtang VI. The work covers the invasion of Safavid Iran by the Afghans and the participation of Georgians in the military campaigns against them.
