Tavdgiridze, Hasan-Beg (Bey) (c. 1810, Ozurgeti – V. 1854, Shekvetili), Ottoman military commander and governor (müdür) of the Kobuleti kaza. He participated in the Crimean War (1853–56). He maintained close ties with his relatives in Guria and with their assistance he attempted to forge a strong alliance between the Ajarians and Gurians to expel the Russians with a unified force. He was killed near Shekvetili because of the betrayal. Tavdgiridze was decapitated, and his head was delivered to the Viceroy in Tbilisi. The poem and song "Hasanbegura" were composed in his memory.
