German Assembly in Tbilisi, a public organization of German colonists in Tbilisi. It was founded on January 1, 1852, the assembly was headed by the Mamasakhlisi (community chiefs), who were elected annually by secret ballot. The society organized various evenings and gatherings for its members. Celebratory meetings were held only on German holidays — significant dates in German history, the birthdays of members of the German imperial family or any German figure.
