Yuri Zytsar (b. April 14, 1928, Makushino, Kurgan Oblast – d. June 23, 2009, Saint Petersburg), Russian linguist.
He graduated from the Leningrad Institute of Foreign Languages (1950). In 1955, he defended his candidate's dissertation on the Basque language. Zytsar taught at the universities of Oryol and Samara; he worked at Tbilisi State University. He published monographs and scientific works. Zytsar's scientific research field was the Basque language, its reconstruction, and typological research issues of Basque and Iberian-Caucasian languages.
