Theodora

Theodora (984–1056), Byzantine Empress (1054–1056), daughter of Constantine VIII, niece of Basil II. She reigned in 1042, and after the death of Constantine VIII (1054) was made queen again in her old age. Theodora asked Bagrat IV to give her his daughter Martha to raise as her own child, to which Bagrat IV agreed with great joy.
