Abram Bazel (b. September 22, 1948, Tbilisi) is a Honored Couturier-Designer of Georgia (1998), philanthropist.
In 1990, he graduated from the Faculty of Art Studies of the Institute of Culture and in 2002 — from the Faculty of Economics of the Socio-Economic Institute of Tbilisi. He has worked in the sewing factory №6, in the union of ateliers as the head of the enterprise. He founded the atelier “Medea”, was a docent of the Department of Fine Arts at the Sulkhan Saba Orbeliani Tbilisi State Pedagogical University, director of the Tbilisi Light Industry College. He founded the Model Training Studio (1995) and the fashion house “Bazel Style” (1997), and in 2000 — the Federation of Couturiers-Designers of Georgia (President of the Federation). In 2000, he became a professor at Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University, in 2001 — an honorary member of the International Organization for the Protection of Human Rights and Social Security of Prisoners.
Bazel held many exhibitions and public shows both in Georgia and abroad (Moscow, Donetsk, Minsk, etc.). In 2002, he became the laureate of the Third International Festival of High Fashion in Minsk.
He has received state awards, including the Order of Merit (1998). In 2004, the National Show Industry Association of the USA, France and Georgia awarded him the title of Patriarch of Georgian Fashion.
