Zurab Nadareishvili (born July 19, 1961, in Tbilisi), MD, PhD is the Medical Director of Comprehensive Stroke Program, a provider for VHC Health - Neurology, and a Clinical Professor of Neurology at The George Washington University, DC.
In 1984, he graduated from Tbilisi State Medical University. In 1991, he defended his PhD thesis.
Dr. Nadareishvili is a board-certified neurologist with subspecialty certification in vascular neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He completed his neurology training at Georgetown University Hospital and his vascular neurology fellowship at National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, NIH, Bethesda, MD.
In addition, Dr. Nadareishvili has his PhD degree and has written multiple scientific papers, which have been published in major medical journals, such as the New England Journal of Medicine, Lancet, Neurology, Stroke, etc.
Dr. Nadareishvili has received numerous awards and fellowships related to his research and public service, including the Canadian Stroke Society Prize, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Public Health Service Award, and the NIH International Research Fellowship Award. In 2016, Dr. Nadareishvili received the Best Consulting Physician Award from Johns Hopkins Medicine.
