Danilov's ambassadorial post in Kakheti (1585) was the diplomatic mission of the Russian Empire to the Kingdom of Kakheti.
In 1585, the Astrakhan Voivode (title denoting a military leader or warlord), on the instructions of the Russian officials, sent ambassadors to the Caucasus, led by Rusin Danilov, the Russian diplomat, the commander of the Astrakhan cavalry and an interpreter.
Danilov's ambassadorial mission was tasked with exploring the routes to Georgia and the country itself. The ambassadors delivered a letter to the King of Kakheti Alexander II from the Russian Tsar Feodor I Ioannovich, in which he offered the Georgian king political alliance and protection.
Alexander II, on the advice of the ambassadors, also sent an ambassadorial mission to the Russian Empire.
