Endler Adolf

Adolf Endler (b. September 10, 1930, Düsseldorf – d. August 2, 2009, Berlin) was a German writer and translator. Georgia holds a prominent place in his work. Along with R. Kirsch, he translated works of Georgian poetry for the anthology — Georgische Poesie aus acht Jahrhunderten (Georgian Poetry of Eight Centuries), which was published twice (1971 and 1974). Endler introduced the book with an extensive article An Attempt to Tell about Georgian Poetry. In 1976, he published a book of travels, memories and impressions — Zwei Versuche, über Georgien zu erzählen (Two Attempts to Tell About Georgia).
