Tavkveri, a local (Georgian) variety of red-wine rom grapes. It is widely cultivated in Kartli. It is a high-yielding variety. Its sugar content ranges from 19–21%, with a total acidity of 7–9 g/L. It is utilized to produce red and rosé table wines. In Azerbaijan and the countries of Central Asia, it is used to produce different types of dessert wines.
