Zeniti Treasures

Zeniti Treasures are monuments of Colchian culture, discovered at different times in the village of Zeniti (now Kobuleti Municipality).

  1. Three bronze axes of the 16th–14th centuries BC, which represent a transitional form from the prototypes of Colchian axes to Colchian axes. They were discovered in 1926;
  2. A bronze billhook and 3 hoes from the 13th–12th centuries BC. They were discovered in 1935;
  3. Copper and bronze objects of the 12th–11th centuries BC (1 axe, 4 axe fragments, 1 billhook, 4 hoes, hoe fragments, 4 segmented weapons, 1 dagger fragment, sickle fragments, ingots, as well as iron knives, axes and hoes) were placed in clay vessels. They were discovered in 1926 and studied in 1929.

All three treasures are preserved in the K. Akhvlediani Museum of Adjara.
