Alexander Zograf (b. March 10, 1889, Moscow – d. January 17, 1942, Leningrad) was a scientist and specialist in ancient numismatics.
In 1912, he began working at the Moscow Museum of Fine Arts; in 1922, he was an employee of the Hermitage Museum and in 1935, he became the head of the Department of Numismatics at the Hermitage Museum. Zograf's contribution to the study of numismatic monuments of the Caucasus of the ancient period should be especially noted. He was the first to try to collect ancient, including Colchian, coins and reproductions minted and distributed in the Caucasus. These works still retain their scientific value today.
